STREAKING
Brett Anderson, Oakland Athletics (4-0, 0.69)
Anderson allowed one unearned run over six innings to pick up the win Saturday against the Mariners. Anderson has been outstanding since he was activated from the DL, allowing just two earned runs over 26 innings. He has won all four games he has started, but has a tough outing coming up in Los Angeles opposite Jered Weaver.
Derek Holland, Texas Rangers (10-6, 4.59)
Holland was solid Friday, allowing one run over eight innings against Tampa Bay. The lefty has picked up wins in three of his last four starts and hurls against the lowly Indians next.
SLUMPING
Felix Hernandez, Seattle Mariners (13-7, 2.67)
Hernandez suffered his second shortest outing of the season after giving up six runs over 4 2/3 innings against the A's on Friday. The right-hander yielded four runs over 7 1/3 innings to the Angels in his previous outing and has suffered back-to-back losses. Hernandez takes the bump against the Blue Jays next time out.
Felix Doubront, Boston Red Sox (10-8, 5.21)
Doubront has allowed 10 earned runs in his last two starts and may be running out of gas after recently surpassing his career high in innings. His 8.27 ERA over his last 32 2/3 innings pitched could be a reflection of fatigue. Manager Bobby Valentine says the club has no plans to shut down the lefty and he'll send him to the mound against the Yankees on Thursday.
