An 11-game lead in the National League Central has eliminated any need for the Cincinnati Reds to rush Aroldis Chapman back to the mound.
The Reds have given Chapman a week off to rest his fatigued left shoulder. He is scheduled to throw a bullpen session and is unlikely pitch until the Reds return home this weekend, reports John Fay.
Jonathan Broxton has three saves in Chapman's absence.
