Felix Hernandez, Seattle Mariners (12-5, 2.54)
Hernandez followed his perfect game with a 7 2/3 inning gem against the Indians on Tuesday, allowing seven hits and one run for his 12th win of the campaign. Hernandez has an 8-0 record with a 1.53 ERA over his last 13 starts and gets the Twins next in Minnesota on Monday.
Bronson Arroyo, Cincinnati Reds (10-7, 3.87)
Arroyo delivered eight innings of two-run ball in Wednesday's win over the Phillies. The right-hander has picked up wins in three consecutive starts, allowing no more than three runs in each of his outings. He has a tough start on the road in Arizona next.
SLUMPING
A.J. Burnett, Pittsburgh Pirates (15-4, 3.63)
Burnett allowed 17 baserunners in just 6 1/3 innings of work but managed to give up just four runs against the Padres on Tuesday. After an impressive start to the campaign, the righty has faltered recently giving up 14 earned runs over his last three outings. His next start comes against the Cardinals, a team he has an 11.37 ERA against this season.
Henderson Alvarez, Toronto Blue Jays (7-11, 4.84)
Alvarez allowed eight runs on 12 hits over just 4 1/3 innings of an 11-2 loss to Texas in his last outing. The 12 hits and eight runs allowed were both career highs as the righty took a fourth consecutive loss. He tries to get back on track against the Yankees next time out.
