Brewers' impact on NL races

The Milwaukee Brewers essentially threw up the white flag on the season with the decision to trade away ace Zack Greinke a few days before the deadline. There will not be back-to-back trips to the NLCS, but the Brew Crew could still play a significant role in who gets there in October.
Milwaukee's remaining schedule is top heavy with matchups against teams at or near the top of the NL Central and NL East. Start with the current three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds, where Milwaukee played spoiler with a 6-3 win Monday night.
The Brewers have five more games against the first-place Reds and an imposing nine against the second-place Pirates. Don't forget the Brewers defeated the Pirates 13 straight times between July 2010 and August 2011.
The mid-September slate features three home games against Atlanta, currently second in the East, and four contests at first-place Washington. If you have Brewers pitchers in your fantasy lineup, be aware they%u2019ll likely be pitching in games with some pennant pressure.
