The Seattle Mariners made several roster moves Tuesday, activating first baseman Mike Carp from the 15-day disabled list, recalling outfielder Trayvon Robinson from Triple-A Tacoma and optioning first baseman Justin Smoak to Tacoma.
Carp is returning from his second stint on the DL this season because of a shoulder injury suffered in Seattle's season opener.
The 26-year-old has a .157 average with four home runs and 12 RBI through 32 games this season.
Robinson made his MLB debut last year for the Mariners, batting .210 with 12 doubles, two homers and 14 runs batted in. He has hit .265 with 18 doubles, nine home runs, 41 RBI and 50 runs scored in 83 games for Tacoma this year.
Smoak carried a .189 average with 13 home runs, 38 RBI and 31 runs scored through 90 games for Seattle this season.
Lots of changes here to consider. Even with King Felix on the mound it really changes the dynamic make-up of the team. Really should make you wonder how this could change the game and does it give NY an advantage. Well if you like the Yankees this should make you like them a little more IMO. I do not have a position on this game but considering all the variables getting the Yankees as a dog in this fight could pay off nicely. If you're so inclined to take a shot. Good Luck
