My thoughts on which MLB teams have a legitimate shot at the title.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

East - Believe it or not i like Baltimore to win the East. Good pitching and good young talent as long as they keep the current pace. I'm also figuring Boston slumps a little moving forward.

Central - Detroit has this wrapped up, no sense talking about it. Cleveland got hot early....that's now over.

West - You have to like Texas in this spot....i know i sure do. They should be about 5 games better off than they are but lost a few unexpectedly. They'll need to keep the pace in order to win but i think they can get it done.

AMERICAN LEAGUE PENNANT - Call me crazy but i like Baltimore to win it.


NATIONAL LEAGUE

East - Even though the Braves have given up several games they will still win the East easily. Washington simply has no offense this season.

Central - Pittsburgh is the luckiest team there is this season...countless games they won that they probably shouldn't have. Either way they did get the W. I have to side with St. Louis to win the Central as they are truly a better team. I'd like to see the bullpen tighten up a little though.

West - Bottom of the barrel in the division and i seriously doubt we see any of them battling for the Pennant. Regardless, the Giants probably have the best shot here and winning the West but they seriously have to get out of the current funk they are in.

NATIONAL LEAGUE PENNANT - Taking St. Louis here...they've performed well on the road thus far (27-16 which is the best in all MLB this season) and with some consistent play and a little luck they win the pennant.


So that means we see an ORIOLES / CARDINALS World Series. Only time will tell. Good luck to all and let's "Play Ball"
