MLB - REGULAR SEASON WINS
Astros - Why think this year will be any different than any other year.
Phillies - Mets, Nationals, and Braves once again keep them at bay. Hard to see seem doing 4 games better than last year.
Nationals - Braves and Mets are factors here but don't forget the Marlins. They'll be stealing a few more wins this year and take that edge away from the Nationals. This number is simply too high.

NCAAB Future Plays
Ok so i took 3 shots at who wins the Championship game. We hit any of those and we're good, especially if Virginia can pull it off.
If we can go 2-2 on the Regional plays we still win money and depending on who wins we could even cover the 3 units lost on the Championship game if none of those make it.
Who knows, maybe we hit 3-1 on the Regional plays and we actually pick the Champion too.

Garcia to undergo MRI on left shoulder
JUPITER, Fla. -- Jaime Garcia will travel back to St. Louis on Sunday to have an MRI on his left shoulder, which began to bother him again this week during his bullpen sessions. Even if the MRI comes back clean, this setback likely won't leave Garcia enough time to get himself ready by the first week of the regular season.
That means an eight-man competition for five starting spots has, for the time being, been reduced to seven.
"I think all of us have been around this enough to know that [injuries happen], and it shouldn't completely devastate you," manager Mike Matheny said. "You need to have some contingency plans in place of what it might look like. ... We're fortunate that we've got plenty of guys ready to compete right now, and we'll just watch how they continue to progress."
The resurfacing shoulder discomfort is a discouraging development for Garcia, who reported to Spring Training relieved to be healthy again. After pitching through shoulder pain from 2012-13, Garcia chose to address the issue with season-ending surgery last May. He hoped that would allow him to come into this season uninhibited, and until this week, he was meeting each new challenge without a problem.
The surgery, which was performed by Cardinals team physician George Paletta, fixed a tear in Garcia's rotator cuff and labrum. Garcia began the throwing portion of his rehab process late in the season and was actually far enough along to throw batting practice in October. That allowed Garcia to follow a normal offseason program.
Garcia had thrown three bullpen sessions since the start of Spring Training and was scheduled for a fourth on Saturday. That was postponed indefinitely when Garcia alerted the medical staff to the discomfort.
"It's just been something where he hasn't felt quite right the last 48 hours," general manager John Mozeliak said. "From a medical standpoint, no one thought it was that serious. But it wasn't improving. And given how early it is in camp, there's no reason to try and work through something if it might be something larger. We think it's just better to get some resolution and have him seen back in St. Louis."
The Cardinals expect to publicly announce the results of the exam on Monday afternoon.
"I know if I was in that spot, I'd want to get looked at," Matheny said. "I'd just like to get some answers from the medical team and then after that, figure out what it looks like."
Asked if he had a gut feeling on what Paletta may find, Mozeliak said: "I feel like it's always best to react once you sort of know all the facts."
The Cardinals, who have lost a key member of their pitching staff each of the past three Spring Trainings, are seemingly set up as well as one could hope to handle Garcia's absence. Adam Wainwright remains the ace of the rotation, and some four-man combination of Lance Lynn,Shelby Miller, Michael Wacha, Joe Kelly, Carlos Martinez and Tyler Lyons will follow him.
The Cardinals were intentional about retaining their young pitching this winter so that they could boast such depth. Now, it's moving from a luxury to a necessity.
"Obviously, when you think about all the talk and banter about how much pitching we have, it certainly shows you that you might not have enough," Mozeliak said. "It definitely helps to have that depth to tap into."
Lyons is the only lefty in that bunch, though Matheny said it is not imperative that the season open with a southpaw in the rotation. The Cardinals pitched most of the second half of last season with a rotation of right-handers.
That's not to say, though, that the Cardinals were not excited to get Garcia back into the mix. He was a third-place finisher in the National League Rookie of the Year vote in 2010 after going 13-8 with a 2.70 ERA. He won 13 games again in '11, while posting a 3.56 ERA in 32 starts. Even when compromised by shoulder issues in the following two seasons, Garcia had a respectable 3.81 ERA in 29 games.
Garcia's setback does not solely affect the starting rotation competition, either; it will also alter the bullpen complexion. The Cardinals anticipated bumping as many as two starters into relief roles once the rotation was set. Now, there may be just one such move.
Dodgers announce signing of Cuban shortstop Erisbel Arruebarrena
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Dodgers finally announced the signing of Cuban shortstop Erisbel Arruebarrena on Saturday, and designated infielder Justin Sellers for assignment.
Arruebarrena had reached a preliminary agreement with the club for a five-year, $25 million deal 10 days ago, but the signing couldn't become official until he passed a physical exam and cleared several international legal hurdles.
It is not known when Arruebarrena will join the Dodgers, because he still has not received a work visa and is training in the Dominican Republic. He received a Major League contract and will start the season in the Minor Leagues, but the club doesn't expect him to be there long.
"We think it definitely wouldn't be a surprise if he could affect our club this year," said general manager Ned Colletti. "We'll get him here as soon as we can get him here. We need to see him on an everyday basis, watch him play and adapt to a new country and culture."
Arruebarrena, 23, posted a .276 batting average with 67 doubles, 25 triples, 27 homers and 171 RBIs in 437 career games in six seasons for Cienfuegos in the Cuban Serie Nacional from 2007-13.
"His offense is still a work in progress," Colletti said. "He's got power. [Offense] is part of his game that probably needs to get better. Maybe there's more in there. His defense is worth signing him, knowing he can play in the middle of the diamond at a very high level."
Dodgers vice president of international scouting Bob Engle and his staff have been high on Arruebarrena for three years. Rick Ragazzo and Vance Lovelace, Colletti's top talent evaluators, also scouted Arruebarrena over the winter.
"Maybe I'm dating myself, but defensively the 'A-Man' is like Mark Belanger," Engel said, drawing a comparison to the eight-time Gold Glove winner of the Baltimore Orioles who finished his career with the Dodgers.
"He's instinctive with a nose for the ball. He can make the routine play, and the spectacular. He has a plus arm, soft hands and, defensively, he's Major League ready right now. He could be very exciting almost immediately."
Colletti said he didn't hesitate signing another middle infielder, because where the Dodgers usually draft, good ones aren't often available.
Colletti added that Hanley Ramirez is "open minded" to changing positions at some point, implying that recent talks about a contract extension have included such a move. Before a deal is struck, however, Ramirez needs to show the club he can stay healthy after playing only 86 games last year.
Arruebarrena is the latest of an ever-increasing emphasis by the Dodgers to sign international players in general and Cubans in particular, especially after the stunning success of Yasiel Puig. The Dodgers now have one scout based in Florida, Mike Tosar, whose special assignment is Cuba alone.
The Dodgers last year signed Cuban Alex Guerrero, who they penciled in to start at second base this year, although the natural shortstop has struggled in his transition to the other side of the bag.
Arruebarrena is also a natural shortstop whom Colletti said will likely stay at that position. He has six seasons of professional experience in Cuba, so he was not bound by international salary restrictions.
"We are excited to sign Erisbel, who we've scouted in international competition for a long time." Engle said. "He brings another superb glove to our organization."
Unlike Guerrero, who is considered an offensive middle infielder, Arruebarrena is known for his defense and figures to need Minor League seasoning to bring his bat to Major League caliber. He was a teammate of Puig with Cienfuegos in 2010-11 and Colletti said he talked to Puig about Arruebarrena and Guerrero.
Arruebarrena adds to organizational depth in the infield, which had been lacking until the drafting and progression of former first-round pick Corey Seager, currently a shortstop in a third baseman's body.
"Signing Arruebarrena gives us another very good middle infielder, who is an outstanding defender," Colletti said. "It continues our efforts internationally to add talent that can positively affect the Major League club -- be it immediately or in the very near future."
Sellers was the club's Opening Day shortstop last year. By taking him off the Major League roster, the Dodgers have trimmed the competition for second base to five -- Guerrero, Dee Gordon,Miguel Rojas, Chone Figgins and Brendan Harris.
"It was tough on him," manager Don Mattingly said, after meeting with Sellers. "Justin tried really hard and he wanted to fight for a spot. It was not an easy conversation."
The move also suggests that Chad Billingsley might return in less time than originally thought, because a roster spot could have been made for Arruebarrena by placing Billingsley on the 60-day disabled list.
"We're not prepared to put him on a timetable that exceeds 60 days," Colletti said.
Orioles come to terms with Cruz ~ $$$
SARASOTA, Fla. -- The Orioles have agreed to terms on a one-year, $8 million contract with free agent Nelson Cruz, a Major League source confirmed to MLB.com on Saturday.
The deal, pending a physical, was first reported by ESPNDeportes and comes just days after the team made its first major move in signing right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez to a four-year, $50 million deal. Cruz, 33, adds another power bat to Baltimore's lineup, giving the O's a much-needed threat out of the designated-hitter spot. The right-handed-hitting Cruz has at least 22 homers each of the past five seasons and will likely platoon at the designated-hitter role and occasionally play left field. Cruz's contract, like Jimenez, also contains performance incentives.
Cruz was slated to fly in from the Dominican Republic on Saturday and drive up from Miami in the evening to the club's Spring Training complex. A physical is scheduled for either Sunday or early Monday morning.
Since Cruz rejected a one-year, $14.1 million qualifying offer from the Rangers, the Orioles will lose a draft pick, their 55th overall, in signing him. However, that wasn't seen as a huge obstacle given that Jimenez also had a qualifying offer from the Indians, and executive vice president of baseball operations Dan Duquette said recently the club would evaluate losing picks on a "case-by-case" basis.
And the case for the Orioles in 2014 is simple, with Duquette acknowledging that the team has a window of success with its current core in place. While the O's also had interest in switch-hitter Kendrys Morales, they weren't keen on his asking price and it's believed Cruz's camp came down recently. Whether it was the rumors of the Orioles after more pitching to trade for a bat, or the nature of how late it is in the offseason, Baltimore picked up steam on Cruz in the past 24 hours and was able to swing a deal that fits within its payroll.
Over a 109-game season last year -- he missed 50 games because of a suspension due to the Biogenesis scandal -- Cruz hit .266 with 27 homers and 76 RBIs. His arrival, which would require a corresponding 40-man roster move, could make it tough for Orioles' DH hopeful Nolan Reimold to get consistent at-bats, and Cruz could also spell left fielder David Lough once in a while. The left-handed-hitting Henry Urrutia is considered the top internal candidate for the other half of DH.

SUPER BOWL XLVIII
The Super Bowl is finally here! Both teams coming in to this game 13-3. No doubt two great teams with tons of talent. The two things that stick out the most to me going into a Super Bowl game are talent and experience. Denver has the edge on both of these. You've all been glued to ESPN for 2 weeks now telling you why each team will win so i'm not gonna bore anyone with anymore of that. Now i could go down the route of "Conspiracy Theory" and tell you there's no way Payton Manning will lose this game because the fix is in...but i wont do that. But i have to say, things are lined up quite nicely for him. Just look around and you'll see what i'm talking about.
I'm taking Denver on the ML and jumping on these 5 prop plays
I think we see a 27-17 game with Denver on top. Good luck today with your plays.

1/11 NFL Plays
BOOM ~ The New Orleans Saints are headed to Seattle to see if they can take down the mighty Seahawks. As long as they cover i'll be happy. Unfortunately we all know they need some help when it comes to playing away from home. Maybe, just maybe 'Ol Sean Payton can pull a rabbit out of his hat and surprise Seattle with some fancy moves. It wont be easy but i'll keep my fingers crossed. With all that said they should cover with the +8 pts given, but with 5Dimes being so generous with the line i decided to buy the points.
